Description
Calcimol LC:
Light-curing radiopaque calcium hydroxide paste
Calcimol LC in the new NDT-syringe
- NDTmeans non-dripping-technology
- Especially for fine-flowing materials
- Can be dosed and applied precisely
- Without any loss of material
Indications
- Indirect pulp capping
- Lining under all filling materials
- Protection when applying the total-etch technique
Precautions:
- Do not use Calcimol LC in the restoration margins. In the marginal area, the permanent restoration should always be placed on caries-free dental hard tissue which, when using the adhesive technique, must have been conditioned accordingly.
- Calcimol LC adheres to methacrylate-based products, e.g. crown and bridge materials, temporary sealing materials and certain impression materials (e.g. polyether), which can lead to removal of the cavity lining. In such cases, application of a separating agent is recommended (e.g. Vaseline, glycerine gel etc.). Remove the insulating material prior to placement of the final restoration.
Features
- Time-saving direct application and light-curing
- Ready-to-use one-component material
- Effective protection of the pulp
- Acid-resistant
- Supports the formation of secondary dentine
Key Specifications
- Store at temperatures of 4 °C to 23 °C protected from light and moisture.
Packaging
- 2 x 2.5g Syringes
- Application cannulae type 41
Direction to Use
- Calcimol LC can be applied directly from the syringe. To ensure functioning of the non-dripping syringe, the plunger must not be retracted during or after use. Dispense the required amount of Calcimol LC from the tube onto a mixing pad and apply using a suitable instrument.
- Cavity linings with a thickness in excess of 1 mm need to be built up in layers and each layer cured using blue light for at least 20 s. If increased adhesion values are required (e.g. when using Calcimol LC for adhesive restorative treatments), a suitable adhesive can be used prior to the application of Calcimol LC.
- Carefully remove any excess material prior to light-curing using suitable tools.
- Do not remove polymerised excess material with a probe but, instead, carefully use a rotating instrument and then place the restoration.
