Description
The White Class Whitening by FGM is a tooth whitening gel based on hydrogen peroxide, indicated for the at-home whitening technique supervised by a dentist. It was developed to meet the most demanding public, as it has less time of daily use and presents faster results when compared to carbamide peroxide.
White Class Whitening Step-by-Step for the Professional
1. Record the color of the teeth so that the dentist and patient have a baseline for whitening. The registration of the color of the teeth can be accomplished through a color scale or photograph .
2. Impression: impression can be performed with alginate and must adequately copy all teeth to be whitened.
3. The mold is made with stone plaster , in order to avoid the formation of bubbles. It is not necessary to make reliefs in the model to create gel reservoirs.
4. Clamp the slab in the vacuum laminator , place the plaster model centered under the slab and turn on the equipment to start heating the slab. As soon as the plate presents a small bulge (2 to 3 cm) that shows its softening, quickly lower it over the model and turn on the vacuum for 10 to 15 seconds. The plate should conform to the contour of the model, especially at the edges close to the gingiva, because at this point a gel-retaining edge should be formed in the tray. The removal of the plate must be carried out after it has completely cooled down.
5. After removing the tray from the model, cut it so that there are no burrs and cover 1 to 2 mm of the gingival margin.
6. Tray test: the tray must not compress areas of soft tissue or have excessive gaps.
7. Demonstrate to the patient the amount of gel to be dispensed on the plate. A drop of gel must be deposited in the regions corresponding to the buccal surfaces of the teeth to be whitened.
8. Periodic consultations should be scheduled for weekly, until the completion of treatment. Record the final color achieved.
